We found a chocolate lab that we fell in love with.He was chewing up shoes any change he got (I lost track of how many flip flops were destroyed), pulling on walks, had to be put in the kennel so my other dog and my family could eat in peace without him attacking out food. After a month, with Nicole we have a completely well behaved dog.I can walk him so easily and get compliments on how well behaved he is.I also love that Nicole shares videos of her training. .

Limitless Freedom Dogs: Dog Training, Charlotte, NC

In high school Linsey began to tip toe into the service dog world when she did a graduation project on the breeding, raising, and training of service dogs.Meet Linsey & Harley. She even began training her dog Salem to guide her off to the side of the street when he heard a car.Medication and therapies weren't enough and she was desperate for even a smidge of the independence she had lost. She started training her personal service dog, Harley (pictured) to assist her.She comes along on outings when she can and is always there to help lend a hand by handling my personal service dog, taking pictures/videos, and helps take notes when my cognitive dysfunction is working against me.We specialize in service dog training and although we have some obedience clients they are not why we exist. When your dog comes here for training we want you to know that we treat them like our own.Virtual Training Sessions This is for those times where you need to talk out problem areas, trainer is live and helps refine skills the team is working on.Private Training Sessions This is for one hour of private instruction with our trainer. This can be held in-home or in a public environment, whichever best suits the need for the purpose of the session.Public Access Group Classes The minimum time for this is 3 hrs.Board & Train This service is provided for dogs to come into our home, train every day, live in a very structured environment in order to advance in obedience, manners, public access (for service dogs only), task training, etc. .

Aggressive Dog Behavior Towards Strangers

Aggressive Dog Behavior Towards Strangers.

Dogs display this behavior due to fear and/or anxiety, and need behavioral intervention to overcome it.What may seem like a benign visitor to your yard, such as the mailman, can be perceived by the unsocialized dog as an extreme threat and the dog will act aggressively to protect himself. In the case of a dog with territorial aggression, your consultant will first want to make sure that rules for safety and management are in place so no one gets hurt. The vast majority of aggression cases that I see are based in fear, so resolving the dog’s anxiety is a key to ending the aggressive response.”.Generally, it will involve desensitization and counter conditioning to people coming into the dog’s territory, coupled with training the dog to go to a specified place, such as a crate or a mat, when the scary person arrives1.What can my veterinarian do for my aggressive dog?Depending on the dog, your veterinarian may prescribe medication to help with the dog’s anxiety which allows the behavioral modification program to be more effective if the dog was previously too stressed to function. It’s important to know that while your dog’s behavior may appear disturbing and even frightening to you, the most effective way to help your dog is to work with qualified professionals and commit to following the plan they have created for you.

Training Dog To Come With Whistle

Training Dog To Come With Whistle.

No need for talking during the exercise, but you can certainly praise him.If your dog is particularly sensitive to sounds, blow the whistle quietly. The next progression is for you and your dog to practice in a confined area.Blow the whistle and praise / reward your dog for coming to you. It’s important to change location as dogs don’t generalize very well.Only you can decide whether or not your dog is dependable enough to be trusted off leash under such circumstances.I only use this recall once a week to keep it in check.
