liquid on their necks for fleas we had used it before without any problem unfortunately she had seizures a real bad nonstop one for hrs on a Sunday all the vets near by were closed and didn't have the money to take her to a vet she didn't come out of it and passed I'm not 100% sure it was the medicine cause the other cats were fine but its a hood possibility :( Reply Was this helpful?Yes Anonymous September 19, 2018 0 found this helpful If the vet recommended brands were more affordable, this poor kitty wouldn't have suffered. Some of these products are over $100.00!!!You are evil people out for a dollar.I put this on my cat from the dollar store thinking it would get rid of the fleas and now it has killed my cat.cmo985 May 17, 2019 1 found this helpful I use the flea treatment for my dog from the Dollar Tree religiously. This was not a case of the Dollar Tree selling bad flea medicine. This was a case of a young girl not reading the instructions and applying it to her cat.Once again this is because you cannot put a dog treatment on a cat!1 amathyzt September 8, 2019 0 found this helpful Yes and peppermint oil is very bad for cats...so tell me again how the Dollar tree product is ok to use on cats when even a small search will generate results telling how bad peppermint oil is for them to even have on their skin, let alone where another cat might be able to reach??nettaylor.nett November 5, 2019 0 found this helpful You don't put flea medication for a dog on a cat it will kill it.Either way, it is VERY CLEARLY STATED to not use a flea treatment for a dog on a cat and vice versa.prissykitty1990 April 14, 2020 0 found this helpful I Applied bansac from the dollar store tonight on my dog after about an hour he was crying and jumping on top of me hes a huge dog I took him in the shower got it off of him with dish soap the best I could along with pretty much every soap I had in there rinsed him for like an hour until the water ran cold he seems happier but every so often hes whimpering I feel horrible Im about to drench him in baby powder hopefully it will help soak up the crap my boyfriend claimed to get from cvs but obviously admitted that it was dollar store bought I asked him to pick it up bc I found a fat tick on buddy earlier today anyway I really hope he doesnt get sick its kind of scary a place would sell that kind of stuff I checked the date it wasnt expired it is ment for dogs thirty pounds or more buddy bear is a hundred and ten pounds a shepherd Timberwolf mix Hes nine years old and idk what I would do if this is the way he dies if he starts seizing at all or foaming at the mouth Im taking him straight to the vet Reply Was this helpful? Please NOTE: any products with mint can be harmful to cats.mom2.chic September 1, 2020 0 found this helpful I have used the flee treatments from the Dollar store for years and have never had any issues. If youre not going to read the label, then yes, please talk to your vet about what product you can buy at the store. It's not the products fault. It says right on there multiple times DO NOT USE ON CATS.Not once have I found a flea or tick on my pups, and they sleep on my bed!carterhd2011 May 18, 2021 0 found this helpful Its true the only safe way to do it is the expensive tabs, the once a month tabs from youre very and even with that it could still cause a reaction to youre pet thats why its always a good ideal to buy these products from youre licensed vet.My two German shepherds right now have fleas they got it very very small little things.... washed them off with DAWN dish soap then vacuumed floor and beds and places where they usually are, also got my yard sprayed and will now get my yard treated regularly, so with that said they where gone for two weeks and now i noticed them on the dogs again!I will call the vet again, give baths abs deep clean house, call the pest control guy, but other then that i dont know what else to do they are taking sentinel and simparica i was told it was ok to give both at the same time but i wanted to be sure so i gave a day apart and noticed fleas dying two days later Reply Was this helpful? .
