Meeting was held at the Fire Station on Stirling Rd, a location that was provided by supporter Thomas Karl at no charge to DBOH.

The current status of our proposal was reviewed and the group present was updated on our progress. Monika Stefaniak gave a report on the current financial situation of DBOH. We currently have $352.56 in our bank account. We owe $305 for t-shirts to Felix deBruin. Several new members signed up at the meeting and donated funds to help us continue our operations. There are numerous costs associated with sending out emails, distributing petitions, photocopying flyers, and so on.

Lisa Heller emphasized the following that can be done by individuals and/or businesses who support DBOH’s goals:
1) Contact your commissioner and mayor either via email or phone and state the following: I live in Hollywood (or I am a frequent visitor) and I would like to have a LEGAL place to enjoy the beach with my dog in Hollywood.
2) Tell everyone you know to do the same
3) Donate to help us out with our expenses/buy a t-shirt
4) Sign the petition/spread the word

Other tasks were addressed and Andrea Shaw volunteered to be in charge of creating the visuals for our future presentations. These will be focused on the positive aspects of having a legal dog beach.
Lisa spoke about future fundraising and said that we will need one or more individuals to take charge of that once we are closer to receiving approval for a trial run from the City. Other volunteers are needed to attend dog-related events, pass out the petition to local dog groomers, veterinarians, pet supply stores etc.

The next meeting will occur in January, date to be determined.
