Meeting date 9/26/2006 Mama Mia Restaurant In attendance: Monika Stefaniak Jeff Stefaniak Approximately 40 other interested people Purpose of the meeting: To explain the purpose of the association and sign up people interested in serving on the board of directors and various volunteer committees. Goals and history of the project: A brief history of what led to the founding of the association and its initial and long term goals was given. Included was an outlining of the association’s needs in terms of manpower and volunteer help. Sign up sheets were passed around the tables for people to sign up for both volunteer committee and board positions. Brief discussion of official name for the association. Brief discussion of short term financial position and organization for the association. Brief discussion regarding business card and t-shirt printing options and contacts. A secret ballot vote was taken for the association’s logo design, with design #10 winning the vote. Final notes: A further meeting will be scheduled in the next 3-4 weeks among prospective board members (as noted on board of directors sign up sheet), in order to formally establish an initial board of directors.
